The fine print

Privacy policy

Needle Space Labs is a brand and narrative practice run by Andy Jordan in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. This policy covers needlespacelabs.com. The short version: I collect very little, I don't sell or share it for advertising, and anything you send me for a story audit stays confidential.

What I collect

  • What you send me. If you email me, I get your name, email address, and whatever you include, such as your deck, website link, or details about your company.
  • Basic site analytics. I use privacy-focused analytics that count visits, pages viewed, referring sites, and general location (country level) without cookies or personal profiles.
  • Standard server logs. My hosting provider automatically records technical data such as IP address, browser type, and time of request, to keep the site running and secure.

The site has no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, and no retargeting.

How I use it

  • To reply to you, prepare a story audit, and discuss working together.
  • To understand which pages are useful and improve the site.
  • To keep the site secure and working.

Your materials stay confidential

Decks, drafts, and company information you send for a story audit or an engagement are treated as confidential. I use them only to do the work you asked for. I don't publish them, share them, or name your company without your permission. If I use AI tools to help analyze your materials, I use services whose terms prohibit training their models on your content. Happy to sign your NDA before you send anything.

Who else handles data

I don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising. A few service providers process data on my behalf, only to run the site and my business:

  • Website hosting (Lovable)
  • Email (Google Workspace)
  • Privacy-focused analytics
  • Google Fonts and YouTube, which serve the site's fonts and video thumbnails. Your browser connects to them directly, and they may receive your IP address. Clicking a video link takes you to YouTube, where its own privacy policy applies.

I may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Do Not Track and other tracking

Because the site doesn't track you across other websites, it treats every visitor the same way whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal. I don't allow third parties to collect personal information about your activity across sites through this one.

How long I keep it

I keep emails and materials for as long as we're in conversation or working together, and for a reasonable period afterward for my records. Ask me to delete them at any time and I will, unless I'm required to keep something by law.

Your choices

Wherever you live, you can ask me what information I have about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email me and I'll respond within 30 days. If you're in the EU or UK, you also have the right to object to how your data is used and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This site is for businesses and isn't directed to anyone under 16. I don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, I'll update it here and change the effective date at the top.
